Like the foundation of a building, the feet are the foundation of the spine and posture.
Flat feet can cause anything from foot, to ankle, to knee, to hip, to low back/neck pain and headache.
During the course of routine chiropractic care, I will use computerized technology to scan your feet and make recommendations accordingly.
Headache, like any other pain, is not normal.
We live in a stress-filled world where many of the stressors, be they emotional, chemical or physical in origin, may not be recognized or acknowledged.
Among the most common symptoms of stress is headache.
If you are experiencing frequent headaches and living on drugs for temporary relief, what makes you think anything will change or improve?
Chiropractic care can be very effective for the treatment of headache.
In the course of routine chiropractic care, I will evaluate the multiple factors that can cause headache, restore normal spine function in the neck with chiropractic adjustments, and make recommendations for ways to alleviate multiple stressors that contribute to headache.
Posture refers to how you position and hold your body; be it standing, sitting, driving, working, even lying down.
For every tool there is a right way or wrong way to use it. Using it the right way gets the job done efficiently and helps ensure a lifetime of use. The spine (and your body for that matter) is no different.
Using good posture maximizes both the structure and function, not only of the spine, but also of rest of your skeleton, joints and muscles; minimizing wear and tear and potential for acute or repetitive injury over time. In addtion, good posture creates optimal positioning, for peak efficiency, for all of your internal organs.
Bad posture predisposes you to joint degeneration (arthritis) and pain, headache, 'pinched nerve', TMJ, increased risk of injury, poor digestion, constipation, and labored breathing, among other things.
Good posture is a healthy habit that can be learned. During a course of routine chiropractic care and wellness coaching, I will teach you the essentials of good posture.
The spine has three functions, a miracle in and of itself. It supports your body and gives it structure, it allows for an incredible array of movements and positions, while at the same time protecting your vital organs, your brain and spinal cord.
Which of those functions don't you care about?
They are all vital to your health and well-being. So, maintaining optimal spine function throughout your life, through chiropractic adjustments, posture, exercise, etc, contributes significantly to improving and maximizing your health.
A spine that is not fucntioning well predisposes you to more rapid degenerative changes (arthritis) and pain, pinched nerves and progressive disability.

Your doctor? An insurance company? Your employer?
If you hesitated for a moment with the answer to this question, then your health may be at risk.
As a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner and health coach, I can help you answer this question with confidence and help you set achievable health goals.
Health is a personal responsibility.
Health is something everybody says that they want and that they value, but defining exactly what it is, is difficult for most people.
Lacking clear definition and specific goals, most people struggle with their health throughout their lives.
More specifically, if you want be healthy you need to know what the goal is and how to achieve it. Health is a lifetime commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
As your health coach, my primary goal is to help you define your health goals and help you stay focused and motivated to achieve them.
The typical answer I get to this question is the name of an insurance company such as Blue Cross, Tufts, Harvard, Medicare, etc. .
To be clear, these are not health plans, they are insurance companies that pay for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, accidents or injuries, NOT for health.
Your health plan consists of the specific action steps you take, to maintain or improve your health, each and every day.
Health is a lifetime commitment to a healthy lifestyle. As such, it is multi-faceted, with no singular component, such as vitamins, that can make you healthy.
More specifically, health does not come from a bottle of vitamins any more than it does from a bottle of drugs.
While most of the vitamins people take are not harmful, like drugs, their money could be better targeted on supplements that they truly need to support good health.
As your health coach, I will help you understand exactly what supplements are essential for health when used in conjunction with other healthy lifestyle habits.
